A Natural Evolution
For years, ASSET has supplied the instrumentation and electrical components that power Egypt's Oil & Gas, power, and industrial projects — Bently Nevada vibration systems, HIMA safety controllers, Eaton MTL barriers, nVent Hoffman enclosures, and more. Our founders carry decades of project delivery experience from their tenures at global EPC and OPCO environments. The natural next step was to take on full Electrical & Instrumentation Main Automation Contractor (E&I MAC) scopes directly.
What Is an E&I MAC?
A Main Automation Contractor takes single-point responsibility for the complete Electrical & Instrumentation scope of a project — engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC). Rather than an OPCO or EPC managing multiple separate contractors for instrumentation, electrical, DCS integration, SIS, and field installation, the MAC consolidates these responsibilities under a single accountable entity.
This model has long been standard practice on major FEED and EPC projects in the North Sea, Middle East, and Southeast Asia. In Egypt, ASSET is positioning to bring this model to the local Oil & Gas market — working directly with OPCOs, EPCs, and System Integrators who require a technically competent, locally based E&I partner capable of full-scope delivery.

Why Egypt's OPCOs Benefit from a Local E&I MAC
Egypt's Oil & Gas sector — EGPC affiliates, ENI Egypt, BP, Shell, Harbour Energy, and others — increasingly requires local content in project delivery. International EPC firms typically subcontract E&I installation to local construction contractors who lack deep technical knowledge of the instrument systems they are installing. The result is quality gaps, rework, and commissioning delays.
ASSET bridges this gap: a locally-owned, locally-operated E&I MAC with deep technical knowledge of the instrument brands being installed, MENA project delivery experience at our founders' level, and the commercial agility of an Egyptian company — without the overhead and time-zone penalty of a multinational EPCC contractor.
