Flameproof LED Floodlights (Ex d)

Heavy-duty GRP or stainless steel floodlights for Zone 1 and Zone 2. Impact-resistant, IP66/67. Used on wellheads, process platforms, and tank farms.

Increased Safety Luminaires (Ex e)

Compact and linear Ex e LED luminaires for covered process areas, pipe racks, and general area lighting. Lower cost than Ex d where the protection concept is permitted.

Purged & Pressurized Lighting (Ex p)

Ex p luminaires with internal pressurization for applications where conventional Ex d/e doesn't meet design requirements. Suitable for large-format or high-lumen installations.

Emergency & Escape Route Lighting

ATEX-certified emergency luminaires with maintained and non-maintained modes, self-testing capability, and battery backup for safe evacuation in Zone 1 and Zone 2.

Bartec offers one of the most comprehensive ranges of ATEX and IECEx certified enclosures — from compact field junction boxes to large purged and pressurized control panels housing drives, PLCs, and distribution equipment.

Increased Safety Junction Boxes (Ex e)

GRP, aluminium, and stainless steel (316L) field junction boxes and marshalling enclosures. ATEX Zone 1/21. All sizes from compact 4-terminal to large multi-cable marshalling JBs. Cable glands, terminals, and gland plates supplied.

Flameproof Enclosures (Ex d)

Cast iron, aluminium, and stainless steel Ex d enclosures for motor starters, local control stations, and instrumentation. Withstand internal explosions without propagation — suitable for Zone 1 with the most flammable gas groups (IIC, hydrogen).

Purged & Pressurized Panels (Ex p)

Custom-engineered Ex p Type X, Y, and Z panels to IEC 60079-13 / EN 60079-13. Type X panels (continuous purge) allow standard industrial equipment inside a Zone 1 environment. Type Y/Z reduce zone classification inside the enclosure. Bartec designs, builds, certifies, and delivers complete Ex p systems — including the purge & pressurization unit, internal panel build, and documentation package.

GRP & Stainless Steel Enclosures

Glass-reinforced polyester (GRP) enclosures for marine and high-corrosion environments. Stainless steel 316L for coastal, offshore, and chemical process installations where aluminium is unsuitable.

Distribution Boards & Switchgear

Ex-certified power distribution boards, MCB panels, and motor control centers for hazardous area electrical infrastructure. Available in Ex e and Ex p protection concepts.

Wireless Connectivity for Hazardous Areas

Bartec's wireless product family — led by the Wireless X access point and the EXgate IoT gateway — enables plant-wide Wi-Fi coverage and IIoT connectivity inside Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas, eliminating the cost and complexity of extensive cable infrastructure.

Wireless X — Ex WLAN Access Points

ATEX Zone 1 and Zone 2 certified Wi-Fi 5 (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) access points, dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. IP66 stainless steel or GRP housing. Provides the same wireless performance as a conventional office access point — inside an explosive atmosphere. Enables mobile worker connectivity, real-time data access, and voice/video communication without entering safe areas.

EXgate — Industrial IoT Gateway

Ex-certified IIoT gateway connecting field sensors, instruments, and legacy HART devices to plant networks and cloud platforms. Supports Modbus RTU/TCP, HART, OPC-UA, and MQTT protocols. Enables remote monitoring and predictive maintenance data collection from inside hazardous areas.

Ex Zone Antennas & RF Infrastructure

ATEX-certified directional and omnidirectional antennas, RF cables, and connectors for Zone 1 and Zone 2 installation. Used to extend wireless coverage into remote process units, tanks, and enclosed spaces where access points cannot be directly mounted.

Wireless Sensor Networks

Electric Trace Heating

Electric trace heating is the most reliable and controllable method of freeze protection and process temperature maintenance for pipelines, instrumentation impulse lines, and vessels in hazardous areas. Bartec provides complete ATEX-certified trace heating systems from cable selection through control panel supply and commissioning.

Self-Regulating Trace Heating Cables

The most widely used technology for freeze protection. Power output automatically reduces as pipe temperature rises — preventing overheating and reducing energy consumption. Suitable for Zone 1 and Zone 2 when ATEX-rated. Applications: water and utility pipelines, instrument impulse lines, winterization of instrumentation.

Constant Wattage & Mineral Insulated (MI) Cables

Fixed-output heating cables for high-temperature process maintenance above 60°C. Mineral insulated (MI) cables for temperatures up to 650°C — suitable for heavy fuel oil, bitumen, and sulfur line tracing. Zone 1 certified versions available.

Trace Heating Control & Monitoring Panels

ATEX-certified local and central control panels for trace heating circuits. Thermostat control, ground fault protection, and circuit monitoring with alarm outputs. Can be integrated with plant DCS/SCADA for centralized monitoring of all heating circuits.

ATEX and IECEx certified Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) for SCADA data acquisition and remote control in Zone 1 hazardous areas. Support industry-standard protocols: Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, DNP3, and IEC 60870-5-101/104. Integrated discrete and analog I/O for direct field connection. Ex p Control Panels (Purged & Pressurized)

Custom-engineered Ex p control systems using purge & pressurization to allow standard Siemens, Rockwell, or ABB PLCs and HMIs to operate safely inside Zone 1. Bartec designs and certifies the complete panel — from the purge unit and enclosure to the internal build and IEC 60079-13 documentation. Turnkey delivery with ATEX certification included.

Ex HMIs & Operator Panels

Intrinsically safe and Ex p-housed touchscreen operator panels for process visualization and control in hazardous areas. Range from compact 7" panels for local pump control to large 21" Ex p HMIs for main control stations. ATEX Zone 1 and Zone 2 certified.

Ex Pushbutton Stations & Control Devices

Ex d and Ex e pushbutton stations, selector switches, indicator lamps, call points, and emergency stop buttons for Zone 1 and Zone 2. Local motor start/stop, valve control, and ESD activation. Standard and custom configurations with stainless steel, GRP, or aluminium housings.

Emergency Shutdown (ESD) Systems
